Thank you for your interest in the Strum Squad music program! Please review the following terms and conditions. By registering your child in our program, you agree to these terms.

Rental Agreement

For students renting ukuleles from Strum Squad, the instrument must be returned in good working condition at the final lesson of the program.

If the ukulele is not returned or is damaged beyond repair (broken frame, damaged tuning pegs, vandalism, or any other damage that may prevent Strum Squad from using the ukulele in the future), the parent/guardian agrees to pay a partial replacement fee of $35.00 CAD.

Minor cosmetic blemishes (within reason) or broken strings will not incur any penalties.

If a string breaks at any time during the rental period, Strum Squad will provide a replacement ukulele to use instead at no extra charge.​
Refund Policy

Strum Squad reserves the right to cancel a program up to 24 hours before the start date. In such cases, all registered participants will receive a full refund.

Parents may cancel their child’s registration up to 24 hours after the program’s start date for a full refund. Please contact our program director if you wish to cancel: mike@strumsquad.com

No refunds will be issued for student cancellations made more than 24 hours after the program begins.
Liability

While unlikely, I understand that participation in any group music program involves classroom activities that may carry risks of injury or property damage. While Strum Squad takes extra precautions to ensure classroom safety, I acknowledge and accept these inherent risks on behalf of my child.
Missed Lessons

Participants in our programs do miss a lesson or two from time to time- things pop up and that's okay!

To help with missed lessons, we have a dedicated practice resource page on our site with videos and slides that cover the key topics and songs learned in each lesson so participants can strum-along from home and stay in the loop. We also have a 15 minute window before each lesson where we answer any questions and help those who missed the previous lesson get caught up with 1-1 instruction.

Due to the nature of our group program schedule and facility bookings, we are unable to accommodate make-up lessons for individual families. We do not offer refunds for missed lessons.
