Cancellation Policy

Thank you for registering for Strum Squad’s Social Ukulele program. By joining, you agree to the following terms. Lessons take place at various community centres. If a lesson is cancelled by Strum Squad or the venue due to unsafe conditions or unforeseen circumstances, we will offer a make-up lesson, either in-person or online via Zoom or similar. No refunds will be issued for cancelled lessons as long as a make-up is available. Strum Squad may cancel a program for any reason; participants will be offered a full refund or credit. Ukulele rentals are included. Broken strings will be replaced at no charge. If a ukulele is damaged by the renter and becomes unplayable or unrentable, a $40 replacement fee applies, covering a replacement for the program. Ukuleles must be returned at the final lesson; unreturned rentals within 14 days of program completion incur a $40 fee. Participation involves classroom activities and instrument use. While we take precautions, there is some risk of minor injury or property damage. Strum Squad is not responsible for personal injury or loss of personal belongings. Participants may occasionally miss lessons. We provide practice resources, including strum-along videos and lesson recaps. Make-up lessons are only offered for program-wide cancellations; individual make-ups are not available, and no refunds will be issued for missed lessons. Strum Squad offers a no-questions-asked guarantee: if you are not satisfied with the first lesson, you may request a full refund up to 24 hours before the second lesson starts. After this period, no refunds are provided. Strum Squad may take photos or videos for promotional purposes. By registering, participants consent to the use of their image or recording unless they opt out on the registration form or request otherwise in writing. Participants are expected to be respectful to instructors, staff, and fellow participants. Strum Squad may remove disruptive participants without refund.
